I have not written a post for 2 months now.... my computer at work won't let me get on xanga-they blocked it for some reason...

anyways, my dear friend is getting married today. i can't wait to see her, be there for her, watch her glorify God with her covenant to her husband. not to mention she will look smokin hot in her dress!!!!!!!!!!!! she's such a good girl. i love her.

young min and i are getting married in 3 weeks. 3 weeks people. 3 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to be a bride! his bride! praise God, He is good!

"Miss Nelson, ants are coming into the building!!! ..... What's happening?!" exclaimed a frightened little one this afternoon.

there's a line of ants proudly marching right outside my classroom door, and our janitor is in the process of spraying some kind of bug-repeller as we speak.

Yuck. I hate bugs!!

I'm getting married in 3 months, and I'm really stinking excited about it!!!!! I am feeling more and more prepared each day. I can't wait to be Young Min's wife! We keep talking about how much fun we're going to have. I mean how fun is it to have your best friend, your buddy, your teammate and your significant other so close by your side?! Praise God for companionship, love, trust, faith.

I can't wait to be Mrs. Kim, it has such a nice ring to it!! :)

God is stretching me. growing me. teaching me. revealing Himself to me. i can't even begin to explain or sum up the type of year i've had, except with a, "Praise God!" it's been a very trying year but i've been so protected through it all. God gave me the proper amount of cushion while leading me through the wilderness. like i was wrapped in just enough of that bubble wrap to continue and endure. i love Him. He has blessed me immensely. i am so thankful for what i have experienced, learned, saw, been vulnerable to... God is good.

i love young min. i love loving young min. the love that i have for him overpours from God. and i know it's from God b/c i am not capable of purely loving in that way. i'm so excited to marry him. there is none better. he's so special. God has such big plans for him to use him and bless him. i'm just so blessed to be the one holding his hand.

I think I'm addicted to Laffy Taffy.

Anyways, so I actually haven't celebrated Valentine's Day yet. My town had a Level 3 snow emergency and so it would have been illegal for Young Min to drive to my house!! and since we had youth group on Friday and a big dinner for the Lunar New Year at his house on Saturday, we've decided to reschedule for this Saturday.

Speaking of the dinner for the Lunar New Year-it was so great! I appreciate Young Min's culture so much and I love being exposed to it more and more. The game that we played afterwards was confusing at first (it's the game with 4 sticks that you throw-I forget the name) but then I started getting the hang of it. Young Min and I loved 'killing' or 'eating' our enemies, until God convicted us the next day (well, more so me basically) that we're too competitive!! You see, I not only love to win, but I love to Dominate with a capital D. Not the most humble of attitudes, I know. I'm praying to LIGHTEN UP. It was fun though. It's such a blessing to be apart of Young Min's family. AND GUESS WHAT-I think THINK! i'm getting used to kimchi...

Last night Young Min and I had dinner at Pastor Chon's house to get to know him and his wife a little more. It was the biggest blessing for Young Min and me. We left very encouraged. It drew us closer to God and it was so great on the ride home feeling so blessed and giving God praise. We're so blessed. God is amazing, He never fails. and it's not just that He never fails, He REALLY delivers!! praise Him.

moral of the story is:
God is blasta-explosive-amazing.
Don't get addicted to Laffy Taffy and have a bag stashed in your drawer at work.

happy valentine's day everyone! :)

even though i don't take today too seriously, i am very blessed to share this day with my fiance! I love Young Min. He is my lemur, my bear, my love. but no matter what, we are loved by God. He is our true love, and His love will never fail. amen.
seek Him.

in other news, I didn't get the job that I interviewed for last Thursday, boo. :( it hit me hard, but I must persevere, I must trust God's plan for me.

i love Jesus.

So this is my 3rd straight day off this week from school. First 2 days were due to cold. Today was due to inclement weather. and tomorrow, I had already scheduled off b/c I have a job interview in Illinois. oh the irony!! I will only have actually taught 1 day this week. Please pray for my interview. It's for Family and Consumer Sciences in a high school setting and I don't want to sound too much like a first grade teacher, b/c in so many ways they're different and I want to sound competent and able with FCS and high school. Tomorrow's going to be a loooooong day.

Young Min and I have narrowed down the apartment search and have chosen our top choice. It's really nice and it gets me excited just thinking about our new life!!

So cold, in fact, that i get school off today!!!! BOOYAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
although i could not sleep past 8:30am :( oh well, i feel refreshed.

what to do what to do on my free day off..... i shall prepare for my interview on Thursday (please pray!!!!) i shall also look online at apartments that my korean bear and i will nest in this next year.

speaking of my korean bear, there is none better. he is the real deal. i have found the very best. I'm amazed at how much God truly dwells in him. young min is madly in love with Christ, He is his first love, his true love, and I wouldn't want it any other way. Christ is good, folks. Love Him. Seek Him.

young min got me a Bible in one year book for christmas. each day there's an old testament passage, a new testament passage, a psalm and proverb. it has been such a blessing! i love the old testament!!!! i'm in exodus around ch. 17 right now. good stuff man.

so, to sum up:

I love God.
I love Young Min.
I love getting a day off-still paid!
but i do NOT love rice a day old. you know what I mean. when you try and heat it back up in the microwave and it just gets ruined...
